Grew up on farm in '30's, worked summers with sheepherders, then 3 summers in Alaska. Then college. Ph.D. in mathematics, postdoc in computer science.
Worked MIT, SANDIA, Hanford. Taught U.Oregon, Ore State, Univ. Wash, Wash.STateU and Montana Tech. 5 sons. 2 still home. All Life members NRA
